Two...Terrific or Terrible?

I can't believe that Bennett is now two! The time really flies by and I get scared to think that if I don't slow down and enjoy him he will be grown up and gone. In the past Tim and I would buy ice cream cake. Since Bennett LOVES animals and farms so much, I decided to be brave and try to make his cake/cupcakes. It ended up being easier than I thought and a whole lot of fun!

Today, for Bug's birthday, we decided to take him to Boyd's Bear in Gettysburg to make his own stuffed animal. It ended up being a blast! I must confess that I think I had more fun than he did! Bennett picked out a stuffed pig (shocker, I know). It was really neat because they had an area where the kids put colored beads in the bear. Each color stands for something such as bravery, love, friendship, hope, etc. It was really cute.

Who would have thought that making a stuffed animal and being two would be such hard work!

That last picture of Bennett is so dorky, I love it! I can't wait to see him today and squeeze his little cheeks and get little dirty looks from him. Man I love that boy!

haha Sommer said his picture was dorky. Nice aunt, Sommer. :) I say the same things about my nerdy little nephews. It's just so fun. Ashley, I can't believe he's 2! They grow way too fast, huh. Good job on making his cake- now you can do it every year and he'll love it! Boyd's Bear is such a neat little world, looks like fun!

Very cute cake. What a neat idea. Several years ago I took the girls to Boyd's Bear to make a stuffed animal too. They loved it. We also went to several of the Halloween, Christmas and Easter parties they hold there. The prices were very reasonable and they always got some cool stuff plus a bear. At Christmas they have a kids shopping area (like the kinds they have at school... only way better) for children to shop for loved ones. Boyd's Bear is a fantastic place. Happy Birthday, Bennett.
