Visit to the ER

He almost made it to 14 months without having to get stitches (we're honestly surprised he made it this far). Bennett was walking towards the ski ball machine at Grandma's house last night when he fell and hit the corner of it. Of course he was screaming bloody murder, but after seeing his own reflection in the mirror (yes, he is a vain little boy) and getting a lolly pop (carebears of course!) he calmed down. Tim stopped the gash from bleeding and we thought made a narrow escape from having to go to the ER. Not even half an hour later Bennett fell again and hit the same spot (right above his eye) and the bleeding started all over again. So we made our first trip with him to the ER. At least now he is fine. Such a brave little boy!
Just ignore the whole picture of a picture on a cell phone thing. I haven't quite figured out how to download pics off of the phone.
I survived his first stitches... now will I survive my first day of school today? Teachers get nervous too you know!

man oh man, if it was going to happen to one of us it was going to happen to you! I'm so sorry that happened the night before your first day. Good luck today. I can't wait to come see your classroom and give Bennett kisses this afternoon!

Poor little guy! Glad he survived and more importantly that you did.

I hope you have a wonderful first week of school. You are a great teacher and I am sure your kids will love you!

Poor Boy! And poor mommy! No fun having to go through that. Worse when it's the day before the first day of school! I hope that went well for you.
I don't know how to download pics off the phone either, so I just send them to my email in a pic message. Then I save it to my computer. It seems to work.

seriously i am such a crazy lady about the er. I'm so afraid to go because they'll look at me like i'm an overprotective mother. and the child won't even need stitches. so i don't go and then in retrospect regret it, because my boys have tons of scars.
