Not Very Neighborly

Think about it... what are fences for? To keep people out, have a little bit of privacy, and perhaps even keep two rambunctious little dogs in. Well, imagine my surprise when I saw two little teeny-boppers in my backyard!
I was getting laundry together when I thought I heard voices and the gate to our fence open. I looked out my window and saw the girls enter my yard. Now... please understand that my fence is at least 6 feet high. You cannot see over it and it would be very difficult to climb over it, as it does not have any holes or gaps to do so. I will admit that I was not very neighborly when I "yelled" at them.
There were times where I cut through neighbors yards when I was younger, but I never even considered opening up someone else's fence to try to cross their yard. Thank heavens my dogs were not out because they didn't even close the gate after them. It also freaks me out that someone was in my private backyard and I almost didn't even know it. Not to mention that these are also the girls that yelled, "Hey sexy! Why don't you come over?" at my husband when he is in the sunroom and have also egged our front yard. AHHHHHHH!!!!!
I've decided that I am officially a grumpy old lady. I don't know if this would have bothered me as a teenager, but I am definitely peeved about it now! What were these girls thinking?

Oh that gets me all riled up just thinking about it. How rude, ingnorant, inconsiderate, can you be??!!!! Man I would have given them a piece of my mind too!

They should know better, if they are that old. I could let it go with a 5 or 6 year old, but not with kids who are old enough to be egging houses too. I think I would have told them I was calling the cops:)

I don't know that I would have been mad or riled up but in a state of shocked silence, a rarity for me. but seriously who does that?

What were they thinking?..... THEY WEREN'T!!!!! That makes me so mad and it didn't even happen to me! I want to hit them in the back of the head and say, "Duh! You idiot girls!"

you're not a grumpy old lady, my dear. Anyone would have reacted the same way...who goes into someone else's fenced backyard? I've acted like a mean old lady to the neighborhood boys who used to play soccer on our front lawn...the lady we bought our house from used to let them, but I asked them to go home and do it on their own. :) Everyone has their own yard to do as they please, right?

LOL! Grumpy old lady! I love it! How old are these little trouble makers anyway? That totally would have been me at that age. hehe Love you Ash! Stay strong and keep that neighborly friendliness up. hehe :)

Rude! Go you for yelling at them, I'd be too scared (yes even of teenagers) to do that, but would SOOOO want to! Hopefully they leave your yard and your family alone!

Crazy!! I'm older than you are and i don't consider myself old...so a grumpy young lady you might be but not old! I'd have done the same thing and probably not so nice.
