Chicken!

Bennett's hives cleared up by Friday, so he didn't have to be a pink Dalmatian for Halloween. He made a very cute chicken and loved trick-or-treating with his cousins. Sommer made a creative dinner of "mummy wraps" (pigs in a blanket that looked like mummies, and mummy pizza). We listened to "scary" music in the candlelight while we ate our meal. It made me miss the summers off when I could go to Maryland and spend the day with her and the boys.

Who knew that trick-or-treating could be more fun as an adult? Besides...I get first dibs on the good candy in Bennett's pumpkin!

lol I know, Halloween is totally more fun now, who would have thought? LOl and I love getting first dibs on the candy too... though in a way I hate it cause I'm trying to be healthy =) Bennett was the cutest chicken ever and definitly was the favorite when we were trick or treating!

He is too cute in that costume! We still get first dibs on the candy, because we tax our kids...hey, I make the costumes and take them trick or treating so I think it's only fair. Jakob came up with this idea today for when he's a dad (his words). He basically said that his kids could use the candy to "pay" for things. A set amount gets you things like time at the batting cages, bowling, going to a movie, etc. I thought that was a pretty good idea.

Oh, Bennett is so cute!!!! I'm glad you got to go down and spend Halloween with your family. Sounds like so much fun.
It's great getting all the best candy, huh!?! Except this year I can't eat chocolate because it gives my baby terrible tummy aches so I'm having a hard time with all the candy and not being able to eat my favorites!
