Global Warming Strikes Again!

Disclaimer: Title by Tim for he is the skeptical one!

These pictures were from the 23.5 inches we received over the weekend. It was nice to be snowed in with my favorite boys all weekend long (including the nice 2 hour delay Monday morning. It was refreshing to actually have breakfast with Bennett).

We now have an additional 20.5 inches of snow on top of what we had from the weekend! While I love spending time with Bennett and Tim, I am not happy about the two snow make-up days tacked on to June (especially since we don't have air condition at school)! Look for more snow pics to come! We didn't let Bennett out in the snow today because of the wind (that and the snow is actually taller than he is). Tomorrow we plan on building snow caves and forts with him.
I can't help reflecting on how giddy I feel about snow days as an adult. I still find myself watching for our district closing to come on TV, even after I have already received the cancellation news by phone. I can't help it... the kids are rubbing off on me!

That first picture of Bennett is so adorable. I love how his little tongue is sticking out. You guys really did get tons of snow. `

Our kids are sooooo jealous. They've heard of stories from when we built snow tunnels and caves and they think it's so unfair that we live in a place where it doesn't snow. The school closing list just doesn't have the same appeal, when there is nothing to look forward to playing in when you have to stay home. Wish we could come play in it. Have fun and just enjoy the time off! Miss you guys! (My word verification was recessy--how appropriate)

Oh yeah and I can't believe I'm going to say this but Ben and I got a kick out of Tim's global warming tittle. We were just sarcastically thinking the same thing today!

LOVE THE POST TITLE! I'm so NOT a believer in the global warming scam. I wish Al Gore would show up on my doorstep and help me shovel out from all this global warming. Oh wait! My bad, this is the result of global warming. Remember the theory.... when the earth gets too hot it will cause all kinds of melting which will in turn cause all kinds of freak weather events... like TONS of snow fall. I stand corrected. WE ARE experiencing global warming. Sorry, Al. blah, blah, blah.

I do the same thing. Even though we have an automated phone system to let you know cancellations I always check the tv too. Some habits never die.
