YUCK YUCK YUCK!!!!!!! I'm
sick and
tired of these nasty
millipedes following me everywhere I go! There was one in our sink at school and another waiting for me in our class lunch tub. (There's nothing like a
millipede to distract a room full of 4
th grades from learning!) I come home and I see the
BIGGEST millipede of my life right by our door. I swear this thing was almost 2 inches long. I thought I could hear it squish when Tim saved me from it. If they are so common in PA, why did I never see them growing up? If I see another
millipede... I'm out of here!

EEEWWWWWWW!!!!! As much as I hate cockroaches, I think I'll take them over those millipedes! YUCK!
We found them in our house - after we moved to Ohio... We thought they were only in PA... We were wrong... I hate them too!
EW!!! I dont' think I can come visit anymore either. Maybe you should just move to Cali with me. :) I think it's millipede-free there, but I dont' remember many in my childhood either. who knows! I think this one is probably as big as the one by your bathroom downstairs that left me shaking for days! I still remember finding the one that sneaked into my suitcase and was dead by the time i got back to Utah and unpacked. Ah...good times. hahah Good luck my friend. :)
sick sick sick!!!!!!!!
I feel your disgust! EWWW! We have them too and Josh and I had just been discussing them this week.
He did some research on "the house centipede" and found out a few things. I thought I'd pass it along- the notion of "knowledge is power."
Josh learned they're the best insect you can have- they eat spiders, sliverfish and other insects; you can't spray for them, but you can spray for the other insects so they're less likely to come out and feast. They come out at night b/c they don't like the light (although I've seen them plenty in the daytime), they supposedly only come out in spring and fall, they can't bite you, they like moist areas/rooms, they start with just 4 legs and get to be about 2" max- sounds like your's was just that. (We saw one that size the other night, which prompted his research.)
Anyway, I still HATE them, but I think I'm less scared of them "getting me". I still wish they were gone, but this helps me a smidge. Here's hopin' for you too.
I have never seen those before...that is creepy! You can move out here...I wouldn't mind at alL! :)
You never saw them growing up? I think you were blind!!! If we ever watched a movie with the lights out in my parent's basement they would drop from the ceiling, at lest one per movie. SICK!!! I know, its totally sick but its true. Maybe its because their house is a little older than your parents? I don't know, but they are definitley a part of my childhood.
oh that's just plain nasty!
yuck!! i'd want to move too.... truth is bugs are everywhere, you can't escape them! its annoying but true!
happy late birthday ash. and I think they are soo gross too.
