I always look forward to that one time of year that my BFF, Emilie, flys in from Utah to visit. Emilie and I became roomates at BYU our very first year. As my mom likes to say, we just "clicked"! Em has been awesome enough to fly out to PA every year to visit. She normally comes out in the summer, but since I am on maternity leave from school she decided to visit later. Today we took her to the Regan Airport in D.C. We stopped at a little scenic route by the Washingon Monument to walk and take this picture. You can tell by the look on Bennett's face that he is sad to see his "Aunt" Me Me go.

We had to visit Sommer and the boys while Emilie was here. I love this picture of Bennett and Brandon. Brandon is always so sweet towards his little cousin. Brandon was trying to show Bennett how to work the teletainer.

Bennett was in LOVE with Emilie. He would make googly eyes with her and laugh. We have decided that Bennett is going to marry Emilie's future daughter so that we can become a "true" family.

Emilie brought Bennett his cute little Noah's Ark shirt. It changes color in the sun! We couldn't help but take a goofy picture of Bennett after changing his stinky hynie. (Yes, his pants are on his head!)

Now I am sitting here all depressed because I miss Emilie and have to wait forever for the next time I get to see her. She truly is a great friend. She is always someone that I can goof off with and be myself without holding back. The end of this week is not only depressing because Emilie left, but also because I only have one more week left to love up on Bennett all day. After the 13th my maternity leave is up and I have to go back to school. I feel very priveledged to have a job that I love. I miss my fourth graders and teaching, but I love being a mommy more. Just thinking about it makes me want to cry!

Bennett is such a chunk. I LOVE his chunky thighs!
Your picture in your header is so great.
I love your header too! I love your shirt, where did you get it? I also love the picture of Emilee and Bennett together. I'm sorry that your leave is coming to an end. I'm sure your fourth graders are sooooooo excited and happy to have you back though.
I feel for you! Having your best friend so far away is hard, but it makes for a wonderful visit. That is, until the end!
I also feel for you with the maternity leave. As much as you miss teaching, it's so hard to go back and leave everyday. If you ever need to cry about it, I'm here! Enjoy this week to the fullest.
It is so great to have friends like that isn't it? I am going to be so sad when I move away from Sommer so I will be able to relate a lot more. I'm glad you were able to have a great time.
Also, Love the picture on the header. Way, way, way cute.
I love Bennett's smile in your family picture..haha...he's already a ham! Glad you had fun with your BFF, that's so cool that she flies out every year. I'm sorry your leave is almost up...what are you going to do with Bennett during the days? That's my stress in life right now, trying to figure out what I'm going to do after my baby's born. I don't have a plan of action yet. Any thoughts??
I was going to leave a wonderful, brilliant comment but everyone else already said what I was going to say!
I love the family picture at the top.
Your baby is a chunk.
I'm really sorry that you are sad to have to leave your baby for school. Maybe if you sneak him in under your shirt they won't know.
He is so darn cute. I just want to pinch his cheeks. By the way . . . there is a sonic being built in Hanover as we speak.
I LOVE the pic in your header!!! Bennett is such a doll! He's got such a beautiful smile!
